I love searching for and finding old coins, you could call it a hobby, addiction or obsession it doesn’t really matter. There was no building foundations or any signs that a train station had ever existed.  I cranked on my Garrett ACE 250 and started working the area over. It wasn’t long before I got my first signal. The LCD screen said it was a nickel just a few inches deep.  I dug a small plug and pulled out the nickel. It wasn’t old. I put it in my pouch and continued my search. I worked my way closer to the tracks. I searched for a long time and right when I was about to give up, I got a faint signal. The LCD screen said it was a penny at over 8 inches deep. I will dig up anything even pennies because you never know. I dug a plug and searched the hole. No beep. The coin must be in the plug. I carefully pulled the small plug of earth apart and out pops an INDIAN HEAD PENNY! See it helps to do a little bit of research!
